Results
Total = contacts × per-contact force + latch force, multiplied by (1 + margin). Take the per-contact values from the connector datasheet — they are usually a maximum for new parts and may be quoted for the whole connector instead; use the whole-connector value directly with 1 contact if so. Real force also depends on alignment, lubrication and wear.
